Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School provides opportunities for groups of adults to connect with the Lord through the study and application of His Word and to connect with each other in caring fellowship. Classes meet on Sunday during the first and second hour (9:00 am and 10:45 am). Study topics vary throughout the year and are structured around the areas of Knowledge, Wisdom, and Skill. For a complete description of our current classes check out the weekly Bulletin.

Small Groups

Small Groups at FBC gather together on a regular basis for fellowship in Bible study, prayer and mutual encouragement. The goals of the groups are:

  • To edify and equip believers for works of service. (Ephesians 4:12)
  • To promote Christian maturity. (Ephesians 4:13)
  • To encourage and equip believers for a lifestyle of active evangelism through word and action. (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Most of our Small Groups range in size from 8 to 16 people and gather together two or three times each month for fellowship in Bible study, prayer and mutual encouragement. Many people who are new to FBC find that becoming part of a Small Group is very helpful in forming deep friendships in their new church family.

Since some groups are at their maximum size already, please contact us for information on groups that are looking for new members. Contact Pastors Rick Bush, Matthew Robbins, or Doug Pabody.

Prayer

We meet for corporate prayer on Thursdays at 7 pm, focusing especially on our missionaries and the spread of the Gospel, as well as the needs of this local body. A prayer bulletin is published every Friday morning and sent via email.

Men’s Bible Studies

  • Pastor Wayne leads a Bible study at 8:30 am on Thursday mornings during the school year.
  • Pastor Matthew Robbins leads a Bible study at 6:30 am on Thursday mornings during the school year (currently on break; check announcements)
  • Other ministry activities (Ex: Stepping Up, Men's Fraternity, and Joshua's Men) are also offered during various seasons.

Women's Ministries

The women of Faith Bible Church are committed to studying the Word, serving the Church, and fellowshipping with one another. The women's ministry serves the church by providing meals for those who are ill or have a new baby, as well as luncheons for family members and friends after a funeral. Care baskets and cards are sent to those needing encouragement.

Women's Bible Studies

All women are invited and encouraged to participate in Women’s Bible studies. Opportunities for study include the following:

  • Precept Upon Precept Inductive Bible study - held on Wednesday mornings 9:30-11:30 am and Thursday evening at 7:00 pm studying the book of Luke
  • The Women of Faith Bible Study -  meets on Wednesday mornings 9:30 - 11:30 am studying Hebrews.
  • Thursday evening study - is offered periodically.

There is a charge for materials. Childcare is available on Wednesday mornings for a fee. For more information about these Bible studies contact the Women's Ministry.

Senior Fellowship

During the cooler months (Nov-Apr) senior citizens enjoy fellowship time on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month. From 10 am until noon they play table games and cornhole in the Multi-Purpose Room, ending with a hot lunch provided by our deacons.

Several times a year the deacons also provide lunch for seniors following the Sunday services.

Occasionally outings are also scheduled for musicals and other events.

Sports

Sports and recreation offer opportunities for great fellowship as well as outreach to friends and family. Various sports leagues and recreational teams play on weeknights throughout the year. Sports for adults include:

  • Women's Softball (Spring, Summer)
  • Men's Basketball (Spring, Summer)
  • Co-Ed Volleyball (Fall, Spring)
  • Men's Golf outing (early Summer weekend)
